Not yet, but I'm going to buy the 55-300 HD WR as soon as it hits the stores. More for the WR than for the HD. ;-)

Nope, unless Pentax comes out with a DA 135-400 WR to go with the 18-135 WR (and keeps the price realistic), I'm about done buying any more glass for my Pentax kit. I'm sure the HD coatings are great but I see no reason to upgrade any of my smc lenses.

I would like to replace my DA15, but I will wait to see some real-world feedback about the starburst quality, and the Black Friday sales

Funny, I just checked the ricoh-germany shop in the vain hope of finding a clearance sale and saw the HD 21mm listed at 599 and the smc at 729.

If they did not completely screw up the new version, I think they will not get rid of the old ones for that price

Or maybe the wanted to subtract a discount and go the sign wrong?

Nope, can't imagine jumping on them. I simply can't rationalize the expense.
I'm looking for good old glass.

I didn't own a 15mm limted SMC version so I can't directly compare the two, however I did get a chance to shoot it against the sun and couldn't get it to flare once. It's been fairly blech the past couple days so I havn't had a chance to go out and run it thru its paces yet, only had it since Saturday. I will be posting pictures and I'll add my own review to the lens review pages once I get a good couple hours using it.

That's the thing...so far, it's not my camera bodies or my Limited lenses not being HD that are limiting the quality of my photos....it's on the other side of the imaging sensor that there're problems (working on them, though).

My SMC FA and DA Ltd all have shown to be remarkable, and I don't think that they'll suddenly start flaring horribly just because a HD version of them has come out......of course, if HD really is better than SMC, then the next Ltd. I acquire (read: if Pentax release a new HD that's attractive - from the current line-up I have all I need) likely will be HD.

I really see it as just Pentax doing "natural evolution" of the various bits of their offering, I'd expect nothing less

Now, gimme a FA Ltd 134/1.4 -- HD or SMC, either would work for me

Anxiously waiting for the 55-300 WR replacement for the original. I like the old lens a LOT, but the WR is best for me. Anyone want to buy the old style??
