Your best deals?

I think it's quite obvious that many of us have a habit of buying used equipment, but what makes a good deal? When you feel "WOW that was a lot of fun/stuff/quality/(insert suitable word) for the money!"?

What are your best deals?

I feel one of my best deals is a K50 1.4 that I got in pretty good shape for under $50 with shipping from India I've had a lot of fun with that one.

I've got my M 50 f1.4 for 40$ from a pawn shop a year ago.
And if you're still feeling good about your deal , I got my M 50 f2 for 5$ from Salvation Army at about the same time. It came with a film body too, it was really beat up, and lacked manual controls - what was Pentax thinking? The lens has its filter thread bent

Wow, that's a real deal. The Pentax A 50/1.4 alone costs half of that amount. From the look of those cases, they probably would eat the rest of the cost. Oh well, either these were stolen or the seller was extremely ignorant for his own good.

As for me, I got a perfect copy of a SMC Takumar 55/1.8 for $10, and a decent copy of a Flektogon 50/4 for $70.

Hmmm...tough call. It's either the K2 that I bought for $20, the Pentax-M 35mm f2 that I got for $20, or the Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 that I got for $5 with a blinky ME Super attached. If forced to choose, I'd have to vote for my 35mm lens because the K2 eventually died and I already had a 50mm f1.7 at the time I bought the one with the ME Super.

The K f1.2 50mm, $25AU. No, that price is not missing a zero.

M f1.4 50mm, M f3.5 135mm with dedicated hardcase and an unworking K2 body, $95AU.

ME with A f1.7 50mm, roll of old Konica C41 film and a dodgy teleconverter, $30AU.

I found a local seller on craigslist that let his da* 50-135 go for $500. This is kind of on the opposite side of the scale from you guys, but still my best deal yet.

Not as good as many posted here but I got a K135mm F2.5 for $100. It's become one of my favorite lenses. Sharp enought to shave with and fast besides. And also slim!

NaCl(it aint a fast 50 for $50, but still I consider it a great deal)H2O

$60 got me a KX, 55mm 1.8, M 200mm 4, a broken 28 mm 2.8, a Nikon bag, and a crapload of filters. I was extremely lucky on that one.

Can you say JACKPOT! Seriously?! The guy who sold this could have made a ton of $$ on the lenses alone! Was that on Ebay? so awesome....

Nowhere near some of the 'steals' here - but for me bought a used K10D ( < 100 clicks) for $700.00 when the retail price new was still over $1k. Like a car it is a depreciating asset , however I had purchased the K100D originally for about $700 with taxes and all , sold it for $550 so I when I tell the story (convinced myself) it goes I paid $150 for a K10D now that is a steal eh !

My best deal?

I picked up two M 50/mm f/1.4 lens and one A 50mm f/1.4 lens for $120 total. Unfortunately, one of the M 50s had fungus in it.

The two that are good are nr mint. Especially the A-50.
