Good to hear...if it's not a metal Tam it can leave. I'm sure I'll catch flame, but I know I'm not alone

Keepers on my shelf that will never be sold:
Zenitar
Tam 90 Macro

The Tam would be my only lens, if I could only have ONE lens

77ltd is a keeper. Hoping 35ltd is as well (if it ever shows up)

Zoom will (hopefully) get better with technology so not necessarily a keeper.

Nikkor 105/2.5 Ais with inbuilt lenshood. Can't use it on my Pentax but will never sell it, just stick it on my Nikon FE (I purchased new from paper round money), bolt on the MD12 motordrive and sit it on a shelf somewhere

Pentax wise, I have no keepers yet!

I have a K28/3.5 that I won't sell, even when I also have the 31/1.8
I have a K 35/3.5 that I won't sell, even though I have the FA 35/2
I have a Vivitar 105/2.5 that I won't sell. Ever. .
I had a (truly mint) K 135/2.5 that I was seduced into trading for a fly rod.

I have an R L Winston TMF 8' 2-piece 4wt (1983 S/N 33138) that I won't sell
until I can afford a K 135/2.5 (@##$#$#$#@)

for me, my 50s because they make taking pictures fun ... the S-M-C Macro Tak is so much fun to use because it is so well made. i encourage everyone to try at least one m42 Takumar lens. and the M 50 1.4 is like a DA limited in size but better in Build Quality and with a smooth focus ring

Considering the availability and optical quality of the DA 70 Limited ... no.

If you spend a little time tracking down a good copy you can also find a Russian Jupiter-9 85mm f/2 lens (Soviet era copy of the Zeiss 85mm f/2 Sonnar). A good copy of the Jupiter 9 can be every bit as impressive as the old Pentax 85mm f/2 ... and costs less than $100.

Check out my review of the Jupiter 9 in the lens review section of this site.

Keepers

Here're my seven wonders:

1) FA 31 Ltd
2) FA 43 Ltd
3) VT 58 SL II
4) FA 77 Ltd
5) VT 90 SL
6) VT 125 SL macro
7) VT 180 SL

And actually, there's the M 135/3.5 that I've never managed to get rid of too, but I realise I use it quite a lot as a walkaround lens (on film) so I'm keeping that one too!

The Voigtlander 125mm Macro is shockingly sharp, ultra creamy bokeh, beautiful color rendering, immaculate build quality... I would decidedly not sell mine.

When one of you guys decide your SL 125/2.5 is something that has to go, let me know I will take it off your hands!

Yeah, took me quite some time to collect these three w/ matching cases Pentax used to sell real leather cases along w/ these FA Limiteds, and each case had different color as shown in the above photo. But then they decided to cut the cost, and put black synthetic leather cases along w/ the later FA Limited ones.

My new FA 35/2.0 will probably be here next week. This has been a year-long Jones and I don't anticipate letting it go once it gets here...

These I will not let go:

Tamron 28/2.5 (AD-2) My favorite lens for 35mm film
Pentax-M 50/1.7 Sharp, fast, compact, smooth...I could go on and on...
Rikenon 50/1.7 (M-42) Can't say why, but it always takes good pictures
MC Jupiter-9 85/2 You can get one cheap, but you can't have mine!
