Where is pentax 135 mm fixed lens?

All systems have 135mm fixed lenses. Pentax has no.
Why? From 77 till 200 mm is hole.

For portraits? On APS-C, 135mm already clocks over 200mm.

I would say that the FA100 macro is between the 77 and the 200 but I understand your point

uh, no it's still 135mm. the smaller fov doesn't really affect it when you're shooting portraits.

I feel your pain. I likewise want a 120mm or 135mm DA Limited or DA* with SDM.

It would be even better if it was also a macro lens.

Pentax, are you listening?

Pentax sometimes outsource to fill gaps. I think they should partner with Cosina and bring us the Voigtlander SL 125mm Lanthar macro as a weather sealed, multi-coated, SDM, AF lens. I'd take a second then

I think it does. You have to back away (which effect perspective) or the head wont fit in the frame.

There were TWO the best lenses - FA*200/2.8 and FA*200/4 macro.
If Pentax develops now DA lenses, they should replace these lenses with DA135 to be 200 mm with APS-C cameras.

There's no hole! We all know that Pentax hasn't been the best at marketing, but literally every previous lens series (K, M, A, F, FA) has contained a 135mm prime!

While I think Pentax made the two new DA* zooms to satisfy our needs, it would definitely be nice to see some more primes (or to see the FA*/FA lenses back in production).

OMG, please don't make the DA* 135 macro version. I wouldn't care less about the FOV. For macro, the working distance is what counts. The working distance of the 135mm wouldn't be any longer compared to my VL 125.

The longer DA* zoom 50-135/2.8, is already great at the 135 mm setting. But I think that Pentax down the line will bring out a 85/1.8, to replicate old 135 mm length primes.
As an alternative at the moment, there is the Zeiss 85/1.4

Looking forward to an update on the lens map this summer
