I'm looking forward to the reviews of both this lens and the new Sigma 18-35mm yet to come out early next year. I will pass on the Black Friday deals and quietly wait

I have a 21 ltd a DA 35 and 40xs and FA 50 1.7, a Tamron 17-50 that is 2.8 constant, a DA 18-135. I just cannot get excited about this lens. T took a picture off the porch with the Sigma 8-16, , it was nothing special, but because of the edge to edge sharpness of the lens and the level of detail it was still a spectacular image.( And that our porch looks across the Madawaska River Valley.).. if the lens isn't that good, I won't even be giving it a sniff.

I'll be interested in your thoughts on this lens once you get it in your hands.

Norm, do you still prefer the DA 21 for landscape shots or do you use the DA 35?
