To me, DA 50 1.8 is very good but the FA 50 1.4 is better because of its built quality and max apature. If you are not in a budget then go for the FA 1.4 otherwise go for the DA 1.8.

I just grabbed some sample shots with the FA 50 1.4 here (no PP, just exported to JPEG by Utility 5) so you can judge by yourself.
