I hate to tease, but here's some more recent lens porn I recently shot using the new softbox

The in-depth review of these will be coming very soon

Dude, this is obscene. You oughta be arrested. If this happens please leave this evidence with the arresting officer; I'll be by to pick it up personally and examine closely and make a report at a later time

Since you (Adam) gonna abuse that lenses in severe tests I here by offer to give them shelter and help them ease the pain.
Especially those old SMC beauties.. HDs are young and they can still recovere over time...
I promise to love them, cherish them and give them a loving home

Little awkward that the 40mm Ltd's are the only ones that doesn't have Pentax logo on the lens cap.

I have to say, the red is growing on me. I still prefer the previous lettering though.

The green are being replaced by the newer reds. The three differences (apart from the colour) are :

1-all new lenses (except, I believe, the 40) have rounded aperture blades (good for bokeh, bad for starburst effect).

2-All new lenses have the newer HD coating. The previous coating was already fantastic, this one should be better, though from my personal tests with the 21 it's quite hard to see any difference.

3-The newer lenses ditched the "Pentax" lettering, replacing it by a more business-like focal length/aperture engraving. I don't like it

On my version there is a Pentax logo indeed. But since it's a scre-on cap, I left it in the lens box and bought a 2$ snap-on replacement.

Yup. Although I almost always prefer the older one of something, so maybe my opinion doesn't matter.
