Just a few more from yesterday:

@50mm, just a great walkabout capture-the-moment lens:

Here's a quick focus test, shot through a doorway - plants are about 40 ft away:
@135mm

But what does the crop show...? BOF! (Bees In Flight!)

Bugs in flight from 40ft, at 135mm (not 250!)

I love this lens.

BTW, am I the only one that thinks this lense changes the shape of bokeh with aperture and/or distance..?

My recent favorite - finally I got one of my son in action:

And my very first shot of my dad (who just joined us 2 weeks ago from our hometown, a small village in north east China):

Is this thread is meant as a counter of bad reviews of this lens or something? If so, where?
I don't understand.

As you wish. It's cropped 50% of the original frame (3/4 portrait shot). My son.

Currently working/vacationing in California. The 50-135 doesn't suck here either!

On a road trip through the West, I had the 16-50 and the 50-135 with me - here
are some shots taken with the 50-135. I often swapped lenses to get more
reach after taking a few shots with the 16-50, so some of the subjects are exactly
the same as shown in the '16-50 in American West' thread.

I would like to thank all of the 50-135 owners for posting their pictures - very beautiful stuff.

Though this lens is a bit out of my budgest for an upgrade, threads like this are certainly pushing me toward buying the lens anway. It seems no matter what I read, this lens gets universal praise.

A question for all the DA* 50-135 owners:

Is your lens made/assambled in Vietnam?

It seems that nowadays many lenses are made in countries different than Japan, right??
