Some excellent shots by the new lens. Looks like a keeper.

Wonder how well it'd do to serve as a product photo lens. I like to use it to take photos of lenses, cameras, still products. Currently I'm using a 50mm macro, wonder if the 35mm would do better for that kind of photos consider its normal angle of view on dSLR? Never had a 35mm macro, but probably nobady had it anyway ...

My guess is it would.

Nostatic, that first and second shot, is that second shot a crop from the first?

if you're talking about the last ones I posted (the shot down the sidewalk and the one of the sign and woman walking the dog), yes, they are the same shot, second is a 100% drop.

The foreground bokeh here is quite pleasant. Just the two spots near the centre tend to have harsh double tram track bokeh there - but this is good enough.
