Kit lens surprises!

Wow,
It's surprising that kit lens could be that nice.

Anybody got FAJ 18-35mm kit lens to compare with this 18-55 kit lens?

Same surprise here a year ago, my first shots. I thought it'd be nice to use it as a macro lens at 55mm.
Straight out of the box, and a dirty sensor!

Irfanview is one of the greatest free programs out there for viewing, batch conversions, etc., but a little clumsy (IMHO) for editing. For raw processing try Raw Therapee (It's free)

Wow Substitute! Excellent images too! It really might make some folks rethink the usefulness of their kit lens.
