HD DA Lim 20-40 for testing

Yea, the Sigma color rendition is far away from the Pentax... But the Pentax just for the moment does not have normally right-angle lens with F=8 or 10 mm. So I use Sigma...

Yes. It is also interesting to compare the size of files with similar images. The Sigma file is the lightest, the DA* 16-50 file has medium size (+200 Kb from the Sigma one), the most largest is the Limited one (+ more 200 Kb).

Sigma is not as good as 2 pentax lenses yes, not in same price level anyway.

Winner is not easy, 16-50 maybe looks little better to me...maybe

I have been a little bit afraid that the HD Lim 20-40 is a "cut-out" version of the DA* 16-50 in metal body only.
I am glad that the Lim 20-40 is absolutely new lens.
But this is looking unsatisfactory for me also...

I don't understand this lens - to say honest.

It's not bad...But I don't think it's good for me. I prefer sharper lenses.
