The FA AF 50mm f1.4 Lens. This was shot at f2.0. At 200 iso "D Range" on the K20D.

I'd love to see more FA50 shots from the K20D ... I enjoy using the FA50 around the f/2 to f/2.8 mark.

Here's a few quick/dirty samples from mine attached to K10D.
It's a value for money lens that can produce beautiful images.

Sorry to threadmine ... but I find it to be nice when lighting is poor and also when you want that nicely controlled DOF to seperate the focussed object/person from the rest of the scene.

Awesome lighting effect in that shot Ben ... very effective.

U&me both, Ben.
I can't get enough of that lens and have let everyone here know it on more than one occasion!
Nice capture - I love the low-key effect on the shot and strikingly sharp.
Not only can I see all the eyelashes, but even all the baby hair on her face! The detail is almost too much!

Here's my own contribution with this fabulous piece of glassware, shot at f/1.4!:

I picked up this lens on this forum not long ago. The other week it really got put to the test. I ended up at a small Bill Clinton rally in my small town. I hadn't expected to be there, so all I had with me was my 50mm. While I wasn't far from BC, I wasn't close either. Needed my 200mm.... The closest I got was perhaps 20 feet, so I knew I would have to crop quite a bit to get a decent image. Was quite pleased with the results....

Beautiful shots people! I just got the FA 50 last week, and I haven't had a chance to do any portraits yet, just a walk along the boardwalk on the first half decent day we've had this spring.

Love this lens!

I likewise have a great love for the FA 50mm f/1.4 ... although the DA lenses are taking its place close to my heart.

Since I obtained the DA 40 and the DA 70 I haven't used my 50 at all. The quick shift manual focus and the build quality of the DA Limited lenses are just too attractive. When the new DA* 55mm f/1.4 comes out I think it will replace my 50.

Ben, everything you touch will have that magic feel to it. I have the feeling that this is going to be transformed into a fa 50 f1.4 thread

I was just going to inquire about that lens. So it seems like its a pretty good one huh. I'm curious does it have an apature ring? Can I use it with my ZX-M film camera?

I, too, have great love for the f1.4 50mm (the M version in this case - they're all the same on the inside):

I, too, have great love for Russian ticketing girls...
