Seems Tamron has been giving up on Pentax lately- with the exception of the rebranded 18-270mm. A bit disappointing IMHO.

This will probably show up as a Pentax DA with HD coatings and a big price increase...

Would definitely be good if Tamron included Pentax support. Especially for the long lenses.

For this one, though, I wonder what the price will be with that name: SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD

I think Tamron stated, a year ago, that they wont add new lenses to K-mount anymore. At least for some time ?

And how come they still add stuff to Sony. A mount is dead and there is very small user base for E-mount

Great Price.

Drop another $449 on a Canon SL-1 And it could be a Interesting kit for just above $1500.......

Because Sony has FF. Nobody uses Sony FF, but they have FF.

HAH, I think you are off quite a bit here; My guess for street price is $2050. 100mm>Bigma=much>price. This will compete with the Nikon 80-400mm VRII which goes for $2700.

But yes, it would be nice to have the option in K-mount.

Apparently it will be JPY 140,000 in Japan (= USD 1,360). And probably a bit less here in the U.S.A.

But if there will be a Pentax branded version with WR and HD coatings as suggested earlier in this thread then your $2050 sounds plausible.

Actually NR has the price at $1069 as mentioned earlier here.

Damn shame no Pentax mount at that price.

Ahh, thanks for pointing to this rumor. Well at that relatively low price, my expectations would be equally low, though for lots of others it would be greatly welcomed.
