Hi there!

I could get a EXAKTA MC MACRO f=70-210mm 1:4,5-5,6 lens for 26 euros. Would it be compatible with my K-30?
There is really not much info on this lense on the internet. What can I do with it? It says Macro on it, but 4,5 - 5,6 doesn't look like it too much. It has markings MACRO 1,4 ... 12 [infinity] on it (I am still a novice in lens business).

I currently have a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

Advise me, please.

As far as I know it will not be compatible with your K-30 - unless it is M42 mount - so then you would need to use an adapter M42 -> P/K .

Personally I would advise you against this purchase - the lens will not offer any or little of an improvement over your modern Pentax lens. If you are into macro photography - get yourself one of those neat macro lenses from old days OR cheaply get some macro tubes and a fast prime lens - ( 135mm will give you best working distance).

There are plenty of other compatible lenses for your K-30 - why would you want to go through hassle of adapting some old exotic one ?--manntax

As noted above, it depends upon the mount. Exakta, the German camera company, did not make lenses. Lenses marketed under that name are of later vintage and were made in Japan or other places in Asia in multiple mounts to fit various cameras. The lens you are considering would be considered a generic close-focus zoom along the same lines as Focal, Hanimex, J.C. Penny, Sun, etc. Quality is probably OK, but not much better than that.
