spotmatic lenses

hi, i am looking for any M42 lenses out there that will fit my old spotty.

the one i am looking for is in the 20 to 55 mm range and specifically fits a 55mm filter.

the reason for this is the SUN model EE lens that is kinda fisheye and blurry edged for good bokeh!

help! morg

Hmmm....... having to select a lens based on a filter size (55mm) is a bit limiting. If you had said 49mm or 52mm, then the choices are more numerous.
Here are two that I have that you might look for:
Chinon 55mm f1.4 (so probably also Revuenon 55mm f1.4 and maybe some Yashinon 55mm f1.4 - as these were commonly made by Tomioka). Both accept 55mm filters (not sure about the Yashinon but it is likely 55mm filter thread)
Also Kiron Kino 28mm f2 - has 55mm filter.
There are tons of Soligors, Tokinas, Vivitars, Takumars, CZJ, Meyer, Schneider etc that are M42 and different filter thread size.
Filters are cheap - don't let this stop you from trying other lenses.
OH

Many of the M42 f/1.4 normal lenses made by Tomioka took 55mm filters. The specific example I am aware of is the Auto-Rikenon 55/1.4 (also sold as Auto-Sears). You might also want to consider lenses with 52mm filters and use a 52-55 step-up adapter.

Just buy some step down rings and get what ever lens you want.
