Need Help With A Lens

When I bought the Pentax K1000SE that I currently own, it came with a lens and I am trying to find more information and possibly some reviews for this lens. I will list everything on the lens. Zykkor 52mm (filter thread size) 1A RKN MC Auto Zoom 1:3.5-4.5 F=35-70mm 52 (with some type of symbol) No. 521549. I have tried to find a review on here but I did not find one (unless I am missing something). If anyone has a link to information or reviews for this lens, please share it with me. I have struck out so far (kind of like my love life...haha).

Zykkor is not the lens brand, but a filter attached the lens -- apparently a "1A" skylight filter -- it should screw right off. So what you've got there is a 35-70mm zoom with a variable aperture of f/3.5-4.5. Brand still unknown.

Oh...I guess you're right. My bad. Ignore the Zykkor 1A part then. Haha. Thank you for pointing that out to me.

RKN MC Auto Zoom

Might be a Ricoh, (Rikenon)? The MC probably means MultiCoated

I have no idea. I do not see any name on the lens barrel. That's why I am so clueless.

No hidden name plate on front ring revealed after removing filter?

EDIT: Found it?

RKN is the brand, apparently. I think that was a kit lens/budget lens from Ricoh for their K-mount cameras.

No...nothing. I see that this is going to be a mystery.

And on the lens barrel, it says that it was made in Korea. I do not know if that will be of much help or not.

Well, basically what it is...is a bottom of the barrel lens, at least brand-wise. Doesn't mean it will perform poorly -- that aren't that many really bad lenses out there. But set expectations low!

I always set my expectations low...especially in my love life. Haha. I just thought I'd post on here and see if anyone had some information about this particular lens. It was worth a shot.

I'll try to get a picture taken of it and post it on here.

Yep, that looks like it. I only read the part of your post about if there was a hidden name plate. I must have missed the link. Damn old age.
