1) On CL: Mint condition Pentax DA 10-17 fisheye zoom with a nice case... for $50. (no, it wasn't hot.)
2) At a thrift: Pentax-A 35-70 in excellent condition for 50 cents.

T got an SF1 with an F 70-210 lens, like the one in the first picture in the thread. She arrange to pay $60, but the old gentleman who turned up with it refused to take more than $35 for it. I sure would have liked having that 28 though.

Seems like everyone has an SF1 story. Mine was here in the Marketplace.

Positively spolless SF1n; F35~70; all the OEM bits; 2 new batteries; 3 rolls of expired film; LowePro Nova1 bag; OEM manuals in French and English. - $50 shipped from Canada to USA.

Best lens deal?

Literally unopened NIB PK/A-R Vivtar Series 1 105/2.5 Macro on eBay, from the guy in San Francisco who had purchased the remaining stock and warehoused it. He had 60 For Sale BIN @ $229 or BO. I kept pinging him @ $168 and one day he'd either had one too many or figured WTH and accepted.

I also sold it - for $450 - I just couldn't resist that craze a few years ago.

Best deal story I've ever heard:

A*1200/8 FS on eBay from Japan, LN/M- @ $15,000. Buyer made an offer of $7,500 on a whim and the guy accepted. O.M.G.

A MZ-50 with 80-200 was being offered for about $80 on the local online gumtree. I thought is was a random F or FA version, but the poor picture somehow caught my attention as being a large front element. Turned out to be a FA*80-200 f/2.8. Scratch one T/S 70-200 f/2.8 off wishlist...

Pentax M50 f1.4. If I remember rightly, I paid the equivalent of about 16 dollars on eBay.

My best deals from Ebay (approximate prices shipped)
F35-70 for 25ish
SMC Tak 55/1.8 for 25ish (an annoying ding in the filter ring - usable)
M50f4 Macro - 60ish
Super Tak 105f2.8 - 100ish
M28f2.8 and M135f3.5 - <100 - these are actually market rate for them but the M135 especially is a great lens
K35f3.5 - 85 - I still need to further investigate some sharpness issues with this (user or lens error?) - it might not be a steal...

Got this as a kit. 50/1.7 and converter were in pristine condition.

Pentax F 50mm f/1.7
Pentax AF 1.7x converter
Pentax SF-1
Pentax K-1000 with unknown (has fungus) zoom lens in a very nice leather square case that had all the original manuals and information papers from the K1000. Also had a flash.
Pentax A 50mm f/2

Got it all for $80.

Probably the best deal I ever got on these forums was a Sigma 100-300 f/4 for $600, but I recently snagged a Sigma 10-20 and 12-24 for $225 off evilBay.
I never get deals on Pentax-branded lenses... sigh.
