Sigma 24-60MM F2.8 EX

Hi everyone!

Does anyone have and use the Sigma 24-60MM F2.8 EX on their Pentax digital?

It gets generally very good reviews and I realize it is 36-90mm on digital but Cameta has it new for $239 and it seems like a great deal for what seems to be a sharp, well built lens.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has it (or had it) and what they think of it.

Thanks.

Bob

I have it since three weeks or so. As far as I could test it, I like it quite much. For the money, it was a good deal (~250 €).

Sharpness seems good to me (K10 newbie), a little bit soft at 2.8 but correctable through USM in PP. Bokeh is not bad and the range is relatively usable even if go out with a single lens.

Built in flash works without shadow w/o the hood at the entire focal range.

What else would you like to know?

I will evetually post a review soon.

I just received the Tamron 70-300 from Amazon, but shipped directly from Cameta. It took 3 days (regular UPS shipping) from order to receipt. Lens seems fine.

Thanks to those who have responded!

I bought a refurbished Nikon 18-70 from Cameta and it was like new and very sharp. Based on my one experience I would buy from them again.
