Finally, you don't have to be a pro to try out Pentax's lenses!

I've been looking for this for a while.

FINALLY!

They do need to offer some of the more extreme lenses though, like the "SMC Pentax-FA* 300mm F2.8 ED [IF]"...

DROOOOL!

Bet he would stock it if you emailed him.....check out the FAQ:
Who picks your lens and body selection?
You the customer! We like to hear feedback of what lenses or bodies you're looking for. If we deem it fit to put into our inventory we will do it. Upon that we can email you and let you know that we now carry that lens or body.

Even so, those rare, extreme Pentax FA*/A* are hard to find and way overpriced. But i'll probably drop him an email asking him to stock a few "more common" one.

Not only that, but they have a form for that purpose here.

Canadians have the option of using Lens Lenders but they stock only Canikon. Perhaps an email campaign is in order? Use the address provided on their contact page.

Anyone know of an EU source?

Good resource for those of us state-side...selection isn't bad and most equipment seems very current. This could be a good place to "try before you buy" if you are looking at a hefty investment....round trip shipping is nice too.

This is excellent.

I've been wanting to try the 10-17 fisheye, but was never sure if I'd get 'tired' of it. To get it for one week for $19 and take 1000+ shots with it - who cares if I'm tired of it, it goes back!

Same with the FA 35/f2 - have come close to pulling the trigger on that one, I'm just never sure.

And the DA 21mm ltd, and the 12-24.... oh no. It's.....

this guys US pricing would buy back the original lens investment at a conservative 6 months (assuming each lens is rented for a maximum of a month at a time) or a aggressive 3 or so months if rented per week.

hmmm... assuming one could have insurance covered...

time to start making calls, this could be a cool business venture.

Thanks for the link! It's an affordable way to try out some of these lenses before one buys them.
