Lenses: Is This Your Final Answer?

I've been considering all the great feedback forum members have been providing from their rich and varied experience, as well as carefully studying info and reviews in the lens database, and I believe I have come to a decision.

Good Choice!

That's the best one. The rendering is superb, bokeh outstanding, sharp as can be and the price is great. Some will tell you the f/1.4 is better, but the f/1.7 would be my choice, too. Plus, the real aperture ring, DOF scale and smooth manual focusing make it perfect for scenic, wildlife, sports, closeups, portraits, street, wide-angle shots, weddings, macro, travel, night and low-light work, architecture, hiking, underwater and, of course, those gritty urban scenes!
I had one, but sold it. I've moved on.

I switched back to Pentax because of that one. It has a great reverse mode for macro.

But you've probably regretted it on occasion, haven't you?

It has that certain "je ne sais quoi"

Of course, it will soon be updated with HD coating and a price tag that makes a Zeiss look like a bargain!

A good choice, perhaps, but will it work on FF?

Feh, highly overrated, imho. The Acme is just as good if not better.
