Only the 100-300 F4 and the 55 F1.2 would be affordable (less than USD2000). Sigma and Cosina had them once for Pentax.
Many other would be far too expensive, some zooms huge or then optically below average if fixed max aperture.

I'd be very happy with a very sharp & light 24mm f2.8 prime.

many of the lenses you describe were produced by Sigma at one time, or still are.
Almost every one of them gets the complaint, "BIG AND HEAVY"

such as the Sigma 24-70, Sigma 100-300 f4 and Sigma 70-200 f2.8

And Pentax has to 50-135 f2.8 already. The difference between f2 and f2.8 is minimal but would result in a much much larger frame

What Pentax needs to do is re-release the 50-135 with a DC motor and a pseudo macro minimum focusing distance of about 12-15 inches while maintaining the same optical quality it's already renowned for. THAT would be a lens I'd pay 1200 for!

I'd just like an 85/1.8 and a 135/2. Preferably in pancake form

I love to see a DA* 400mm F4 or a DA* 300mm F2.8 (and a WR 1.4 TC offcourse)

I think the DA 20-40 may be the closest we'll get to that for a while.

Among real primes, the (F)A20/2.8 and A24/2.8 are light,
and "sharp" although not "very sharp".

If you can find one, the Zeiss ZK 25/2.8 is very sharp, but not really light.

I just want that 17-85 that's on the roadmap to make an appearance, so I can decide if the 20-40 or something else should go in the bag

I just wish the DA21 and FA43 were weather sealed.

These "dream lens" threads pop up periodically and are almost always fun. As a devote of the DA Limited prime series, my wish continues to be for a Limited 135ish prime of the size of the old M135/3.5. That sort of FL combined with the aggressive cropping possible with K-3 files would give me a fair amount of "reach" without carrying something around the size of a bazooka.

These would be something else if ever realized, but I'm afraid you'd need a fork-lift truck to move some of 'em around . Still, dreams are fun so why not?

That lens is last on the roadmap... I'm on a verge: the Sigma 17-70 Contemporary seems to be a very nice and sharp lens, but it has neither WR not the typical Pentax rendering (colors and microcontrast). I'd wait for the 16/17-85mm zoom, but I'm afraid it might not show up earlier than next year.

That ~17-85 zoom is on its 2nd year on the map, so at least a prototype could pop up this year; that would be enough to base the wait upon, assuming it's pretty much finalized.
