Thank you. I have stopped looking at DxO scores because they didn't make sense to me. Your explanation has cleared that up.

But then, I think I will still be happier just shooting without worrying about the scores. The results will show me the (real life) limitations of a lens anyway.

But not all f1.4 lenses have equal light transmission. The difference isn't huge between the t stop and f stop, but it can exist.
