DA*300 In Canada

Just wanted to let everyone know that the DA*300 is available at McBain Camera in Edmonton. they HAD 5 in stock and now have 4! Just in time for my trip to Boston!

Nice to see that we are getting lens availability first! My needs don't include a 300mm lens, however. Neither does my budget.

That place seems expensive but, when I looked at the Pentax lenses, no DA* 300mm was listed..

The lens was $1399 - so a little more than what I see advertised in the US - and they are notoriously slow at updating their website!

Yikes...that is more expensive then a Bigma.

Edmonton you say ... ummmmmmmmmm that is like a 15km drive ..$1399 +5% GST ....ummm 300mm prime ummmm ........ I gotta wait ! I was actually in the main McBain on Saturday and By George they had a decent Pentax display and lineup and there were whispers of getting more lenses - appears to be not just a rumor.

I just bought one from prodigital2000 in Stratford Ont. for $1100, and a DA 35/2.8 for $360.
I think the 35's ar gone but there may be a 300 left..........anyone know this seller?
