It's not a mirror lens.
The mount is swap-able.
Just screw off the 3 screws and replace with another.

well, there was Miranda M44 screw mount and also Exacta/Topcon 37mm ( M37x0.75) screw mount but you were saying that this is definitely 42mm?
and as far as I know there were only two M42 + T2 mounts with 42mm diameter, deeply puzzled?

The lens looks like it already has a T-Mount adapter attached, you should be able to unscrew that whole piece from the bottom of the lens and attach the new one when you get it. If it's been on there awhile it may be tight or a previous owner may have even glued it or attached it with Locktite to keep it from turning loose.

Actually, now that I think of it I think I have an older T Mount adapter that has an 'MI' on it. I don't have it here with me but if I remember correctly that adapter actually threads into another T-mount adapter (44x.75 threads) and I could never figure out why I would need do that.

I second Odinz.

I had a similar 400mm lens that looked almost the same. On your pic the "T-mount to MI" adapter is in place. Remove it and replace it with your new T-mount to K.

If I understand you correctly are you saying that you took the T Mount apart and only removed the outer ring and left the inner ring on the lens? The small screws around the perimeter of the mount are to adjust the position of the mount when the lens is on the camera so that the top of the lens points up. The collar should stay in the mount and the whole mount (both the inner and outer rings) should twist off of the rear of the lens together. I have several T mounts where the inner ring from one manufacturer is a different diameter than ones from another so often times cant switch those between different mounts.

yes you are correct i did not realise the whole thing screwed off till you mentioned it .i just tried to unscrew the inner it will not move by hand .i will put it back together and try it .it does not look like it has been glued if it does nor move do you think i should try a pair of pliers or some thing similar or have you got a suggestion so i do not stuff the lens

Hi , I don't know how to write a private message to you, but do you still have this lens? Are you using it? What is an opinion about it?
