Here's one of my early test picture taken with the lens when I bought it. I took it w/ my K-x. I want to test it w/ my new K5ii w/c I acquired last Black Friday - if only I was not so damn busy with work this days....

It is the best 28mm lens I've ever used

Can someone provide a link, or post an example that conclusively demonstrates the K28/2's distinctive "3D look"?

Just curious...

In my view this talk about a lens specific "3D-Look" is nonsense.
It depends entirely on the subject/scene and the skills of the photographer.
For the K28/2 it is true, if you use one you will agree. Looking at some of my first slide shots with this lens on a light table stunned me. I have over 65 Pentax 35mm & 6x7 lenses and the K28/2 is one that really does live up to all the hype.

Do you mean on a FF camera, or on APSC?

To show that a lens has a specific "3D-effect", you have to shoot the exact same scene with different lenses.

Finally got some time to test the lens on a K5ii. Wide open JPG SOC shot only resized. What do you guys think?

Cropped file - wide open

Really, there must be a reason why the lenses used at the space station cameras are made by Zeiss.
