Recently I sold or still selling (not easy task to sell Pentax gear) all my Limited primes.

I am now with 2 lenses left: 20-40 and 60-250. I am keeping my money in hope that Pentax will soon release some wide prime FA*.

To round out my SMC collection, I need an 85mm and a 300mm. The K 85/1.8 and the M* 300/4 would suit me fine. Neither of those are cheap. To make it worse, they are ~~not particularly easy~~ just about impossible to find in my valley. Yes, I could import one but for now the LBA dragon is sleeping.

I'm still stuck at 23.... I've become really bad at making up excuses to buy new lenses. Or even older ones. I'm right on that line, what I have is good enough, the ones I don't have are expensive and the newer ones are not enough better to be worth thousands of dollars. And the older ones, though cheaper (and some of them are still horribly expensive) are not as good as the ones I have. What's guy to do?

I keep hearing here that Pentax has to sell lenses {preferably expensive ones} in order to be profitable.

The FA43 is such a sharp and beautiful lens. I just couldn't wrap my brain around the 43mm focal length so I eventually sold it.

It's kinda curious... I fell in love with the length because somehow 50mm was always either too long or too short - never the exact length I wanted. The 43 for some reason feels more like a "do everything" lens to me; it lives on the camera 80% of the time.
