Wow....this post has changed subject matter about 10 times.....lol.
Back to the original OP.......I have 7 legacy Primes and only one DA and I just ordered it and dont actually have it yet so that will be 8 !
SMC-K 20mm/F4
SMC-K 28mm/f3.5......and...... Ricoh Rikenon XR 28mm/f2.8
SMC-K 35mm/f3.5......and.......Ricoh Rikenon XR 35mm/f2.8
SMC-K 55mm/f1.8......and.......Ricoh Rikenon 50mm/2.0
Pentax DA 18mm-135mm WR (replacement for the kit lens ...ditched the 18-55mm WR on Ebay)
Only shoot legacy glass , but thought I better peplace the 18-55 WR lens with a Travel Tele just in case and its the ONLY exception.
I like Landscapes and nature stills , so if I need anything wider I simply do panorama's on the Nodal........ and stitch !

I agree that there can be an embarrassment of riches when it comes to lenses. Once you get a few lenses that you use most often the rest just become a "collection." Still, it is enjoyable to play with the others from time to time. I think the 3 Ks you have make a nice kit. Have fun with them.
wtlwdwgn - I can agree here with you.

Until this summer 19 lenses (all K mount): 11AF+8MF or 12primes+7zooms or 12Pentax+7 third-party. Everything was ok, no LBA, only serenity and equilibrium.

During a summer trip to Italy were stolen 5 of my lenses. So after the Italy theft I stayed a while with 14 lenses. I did not want to replace the lenses stolen by italian thieves with the same lenses, so I bought another different lenses.

Consequently, now I have 28 lenses: 10AF K mount+12MF K mount+1 T2 mount+5 M42 mount or 22primes+6zooms or 12 Pentax+16 third-party.
+ my first CZJ lens is currently on it's way to me.

Well, in my case it's a miracle that my lens collection is still complete. Sometimes I'm so concentrated on scene and shooting that I leave my photobag completely behind and (sometimes quite far) away.

Might as well confess. See chart.

(By the way, I think I need hoods for the ones highlighted in yellow. But I am not sure which hoods to buy. Square? Rubber? Metal? Shallow? Deep? Collapsible? All advice welcome.)

Square hoods are best for WA glasses (35mm and below).

For all others, get the longest, narrowest hood you can find (without vignetting of course), be it metal or rubber. Rubber hoods are flexible, but a bit ugly in my opinion. I prefer the round metal ones. Ebay has a lot of these, just choose the diameter (most of the time 49mm for Pentax primes.)

Thank you for the info. Much appreciated. I'll do a little searching and see what comes up. Is it hard to find the authentic hoods?

Re: How many lenses do you have?

I have 24 total: 9 lenses for 645-mount and 15 for K-mount. I know that's a lot less than some folks here but it still looks like an absurd number.
