I could be worse, you could be buying Canon or Nikon lenses in that length

Update! I've pared down to just 6 lenses. All primes save one. I just can't seem to dump the DA*50-135. It's that good. The only other one I'd like is a Rokinon 8mm fisheye. Other than that I'm very satisfied.

FA 31

FA 43

DA* 50-135

FA 100 Macro

DA* 200

F*300

And these are the ones I've tried and let go the last few years...

DA*16-50

DA 18-135

Several variants of the kit lens 18-55

DA 35 2.4

F 35-70

F70-210

K 200 2.5

and a Tokina AT-X SD 100-300 one of the few I regret letting go......

Driline,

Wow, down to 6, but I can see why you have that 5 prime set. It's a good set.

Lguckert79,

Only 2 lenses! I'd have to go back into this thread but you might hold the record for the fewest amount of lenses here.

I use to have a lot more but my old job closed and unemployment doesn't pay well so I had to sell some lenses. My family comes first so ill get more soon when I raise more money. I really miss my telephoto lens cause the first I sold was my tamron 70-200 2.8 but next taxes ill get another.

Hi Larry,
I hear ya, I've been there and did and continue to do the same. Was up to 50 at one point and then reality hit and I'm down to 19 and loathe to sell more but probably sooner than later will do the same. Hang in there I like the 70-200 length and really don't want to get rid of my Sigma 70-200.

That was short and quick, I think many of us us would probably be taking a lot longer to determine the "ultimate" kit for each of us.

I can ask why I let go of the 16-50 ? do not you think it very good match with the 50-135 ?

Tnx

My current lens portfolio is seen in my signature. In the process I have tried, and moved on, the following:
Sigma 8-16, DA40 limited, DA70 limited, Sigma 70-200/2.8 and DA*200.

I'm pretty happy where I am, but I still might sell the A50/1.2 (tested for a month against the DA*55 and very little in it apart form AF and WR), and K135/2.5 (seriously, how important is size and 1/3 of a stop over the convenience of the DA*50-135's zoom, AF, hood, and weather resistance?).

When the full frame materialises I will reconsider the DA15 and DA21, but at least one of them would have to stay for flare resistance and starbursts. I would also think about the HD35.
