M 50mm F1.4 (will also be sold when review is completed)
I had the M 50mm F1.4. It was a great lens. Cheap at $50 and so much fun to use. Keep that one

Here's my lens inventory:

Pentax A 50mm f:2.0 An underrated manual focus lens. Keeper for sure.
Pentax DA 18-55mm f:3.5-5.6 (two copies) Basic kit lens. Every Pentax user needs at least one.
Pentax DA 18-55mm f:3.5-5.6 II Lighter weight and maybe slightly sharper than above lens.
Pentax FA 28-105mm f:4-5.6 [PZ] Power zoom is fun on cameras that support it but a bit on the heavy side.
Pentax DAL 50-200mm f:4-5.6 WR Sharp, fast, weather resistant. near perfect but for the plastic mount.
Pentax FA 100-300mm f:4.5-5.6 [PZ] Power zoom makes this one VERY heavy.
Quantaray 28-90mm f:3.5-5.6 Re-badged Sigma. Decent lens except for plastic mount.
Sigma 28-80mm macro f:3.5-5.6 Similar to Quantaray above but with metal base and macro function.
Sigma 35-75mm Zoom Master f:3.5-4.5 Compact, lightweight, well built. limited focal range but cheap enough to keep.
Sigma 70-210mm UC f:4-5.6 Old school push-pull zoom with nice bokeh.
Tamron 79D 28-105mm f:4-5.6 Bright, sharp, if a bit 'girthy'.
Tamron 171D 28-200mm f:3.8-5.6 Useful focal range but not as good as 28-105 above or the DAL 50-200.
Tamron 372D 70-300mm f:4-5.6 Lighter than FA 100-300 and at least as sharp. Keeper of the two.
Vivitar 28mm f:2.8 (Cosina) Not the world's greatest lens but too cheap not to keep.

Reminds me of something a recovering alcoholic said to me of his drinking habit, that for him, "one is too many and a thousand isn't enough"

Somewhere I made a list (which I can't find) but since then I've sold a few and bought a few more. I've also found that recently I've accumulated quite a few poor quality lenses that came with film camera purchases.

LBA: Ten's just fine, twenty's too many and thirty's not enough..

I have fewer lenses than the last time I posted and fewer digital cameras, but more (and much older) film cameras.

I stayed "dry" for 15 months up until this August. Now three new lenses have joined in quick succession. The K-1 made me do it.

Still 30-something - which I believe qualify as boringly normal on these forums

Some changes since my last visit.

Q:

01
03
06
07
08

K-mount primes:

Rokinon 12 fisheye (on backorder)
DA15 limited
FA20
DA21 limited
FA*24
F28
FA31 limited
Sigma 35 Art (new, and awesome)
HD DA35 macro limited
FA43 limited
A50/1.2
DA*55
Lomography Daguerreotype Achromat 64
FA77 limited
FA*85
DFA100 macro WR
DA*300

K-mount zooms:

DA10-17
DFA15-30
DA*16-50
DFA24-70
DFA28-105
DA*50-135
HD DA55-300
DFA*70-200

645:

DFA35
DFA55
FA75
A120 macro
FA150

So 34 for now. Plus one for the HD DA1.4x teleconverter.

I am currently thinking of selling my K-3 with the crop zooms. The DA15, DA21 and DA35 macro are unique enough to either keep a crop system or use them on the K-1 in crop mode.

I also can't really justify keeping my 645 system. That doesn't necessarily mean I can part with it

Only 9 and almost all old and cheap and there are still focal lengths I'm missing to justify future lens purchases. Not sure yet if LBA or not. Year ago I had 2 lenses. One of those has been sold and I have acquired 8 primes. I like to think that I still have it under control and I'm building a sensible collection.

Current lineup:

SMC Pentax-M 28mm F3.5
SMC Pentax-M 35mm F2
SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7
SMC Pentax-M 85mm F2
SMC Pentax-M 100mm F2.8
SMC Pentax-M 120mm F2.8
SMC Pentax-M 200mm F4
SMC Pentax-M*300mm F4
The SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR

It's never going to get used. I never use the FA50 either, and until a few days ago, I also owned the F50 F1.7, which also didn't get used. The 43 is my go-to lens for that range, and for me it's ideal (I like the slightly wider FOV). I could keep it just to teach history to my kids, but that's it.

Nah, that's what the A50/1.2 is for
