So total of 12. The APS-C lenses I don't really use anymore although I still have my K-r. Pretty much been using the K-1 ever since I got it.
Planning to put the DA 50mm and the Tamron 70-200mm on sale soon.
Not much Geno, definitely some nice ones to go with the K-1

Yes, I know that 75 lenses are more than enough.
But what can I do if I open the ebay app and find a CZJ Pancolar Electric 50mm 1.8 and a Pentacon 29mm 2.8 both in great condition, about to finish with a low starting price and no bids?.
Results:
Lens count raised to 77.
40 euros less in my account (half of it being shipping costs).
LBA is alive and well in your world Cabessius, good to see.

I currently have 15 lenses but I'm not really sure why. I do about 90% of my K-1 shots with the D FA 28-105. On the K-3 about half and half with the A* 600 and Sigma 150-500.

DA 15 f/4 Ltd, A 20 f/2.8, S-M-C Takumar 24 f/3.5, A 28 f/2, A 28 f/2.8, DA 35 Ltd, FA 43 f/1.9, A 50 f/1.7.

A 24-50 f/4, A 35-105 f/3.5 Macro, A 70-210 f/4 Macro, Tamron SP 70-200 f/2.8.
Steve - do you just like some of the lenses you've kept then? Looks like you like some of the longer lenses for birding?

Hi Richard. Yes, I have kept the lenses that made sense to use on the K-1 and a couple to use on the K10D or K-3. I do use the A* 600 and Bigmos for birding and wildlife usually on the K-3 but occasionally on the K-1 if I can fill the frame. I like the A series lenses for the convenience of setting and recording the shutter speed and f stop.

Steve - you must have one heavy camera bag that's all I can say.

Monochrome,

You have a pretty nice list of K lenses there I see and expect you won't ever sell those. I have a few of those as well but now with the K1 I'm wondering if Pentax will end up updating the 3 princesses with new coatings then I'll have to replace those, argh.

Waaaay too many. I have around 100 vintage Pentax bodies - the vast majority have lenses.

For my more recent lenses, the ones that come to mind are:

Pentax
10-17
12-24
14
15
16-45
16-50
18-55
18-135
35
40
50 (multiple 50's...)
50-135
55-300
60-250
70
100

Sigma
17-70
150-500

Tamron
10-24

Still fancy picking up a Sigma 8-16 - I'm more a wide angle kind of guy...

I’m ambivalent about updating the 3 FA Limiteds. They’d be insane to discontinue them, but I don’t see how they could update the focus motors without materially changing them. HD coatings? Maybe. I guess we’ll know more when the current batch runs out.

Rosetta - over 100 bodies, hopefully no dead ones? You like the zooms I see and I have the Sigma 8-16 which I love but I think I've used it twice or 3 times since buying it new. Just trying to get back into shooting as I took a few years off basically.

I hear ya and maybe in a couple of years they will update the 3 FA limiteds with new coatings only. It's another way for them to make some money for the Pentax diehards before doing a full update.

The vast majority- maybe 95% - work. I have a couple that came from Japan that did not like the Journey are were DOA. One that I plan to send off to Eric is a cosmetically mint black ME-F that is inoperative, but I bought it knowing that. There are a few that a good CLA would help, to be sure.

I think the 8-16 is an itch I'll scratch at some point. It probably won't see a load of use, but I'm keen to give it a try. I do generally favor zooms, but genrally always have my 15mm along just in case!

Not a huge number, especially compared to others here, but more than I find I use.

A 50/1.4
DFA 28-105
FA Ltd 31/1.8
FA Ltd 43/1.9
FA Ltd 77/1.8
DA* 200/2.8
DA* 300/4

Most used are the 77 and 200, followed by the 31, 43 and 300. The 50 and 28-105 haven't seen much use.

Five.

I shoot 95% of my images with two lenses.

All the photo equipment I own fits in one strategically arranged backpack.

Do I count them all, or only the ones I use?

I have 3 that I've never even attempted to use on a digital camera. Those are the M 50/2 that was a kit lens for the ME Super, a Tokina A 28-70 that I got as an upgrade, and a Tamron A 28 that I picked up in a moment of weakness from Ebay.

There's the FA 50/1.4 that has never been sharp enough to be worth using. There's the Tamron 70-200/2.8 that can't do consistent AF. There's the FA 50 macro that is wonderful but hasn't seen any action since I got the DFA 100 macro.

I have 2 copies of the 18-55 because I thought I'd lost the first one. Three if you count the kit lens that came with my *ist-DS. I have 2 copies of the 55-300 because B&H had a sale that I couldn't resist.

I have an F 70-210 and DFA 100 that were rendered unusable through accidents, both replaced. But the 70-210 is only for nostalgia, I don't use it anymore.

I have a Tamron 70-300 that I don't use anymore because the 55-300 mostly supersedes it.

Excluding the ones mentioned above, that leaves:

DA 15
Sigma 17-50/2.8
DA 18-55
DA 18-135
Sigma 18-300
Tamron 24-135
DA 35 macro
DA 40 pancake
DA 55-300
DFA 100
A 400

The biggest problem I have is deciding which lenses to take with and which ones to leave behind.

Hmm, let's see...

DA 10-17mm
DA 16-85mm
DA L 18-55mm WR
DA 35mm
F 35-70mm
DA 50 mm
DA L 50-200 WR
Zenit Helios 44k-4
And I have an old Cimko 35-100mm F3.5-4.5 with what I assume is a broken aperture lever.

In general, the shorter kit lens hardly ever got used since I got the DA 35 and the F 35-70 (that little guy was great when I went to India last year).

The Helios is lovely but I'm too lazy to run manual lenses much.

Right now I'm on vacation with just the brand new 16-85 and the DA 50 for low light, and not finding I'm missing anything tbh.
