I've got seven Takumars between 17mm and 105mm, plus an 18-55mm WR for when it rains. The lens that really matters is the one built into my left eye. There's one built into my right eye too, but that one doesn't seem to have any sense of composition.

These are my current lenses in no particular order:

Sigma 50-500 f/4-6.3
Pentax 100 f/2.8 Macro (to replace my Vivitar/Pentax 100mm f/3.5 macro)
Pentax DFA* 15-30 2.8 (Won an auction on E-bay for an amazing Price)
Pentax DFA* 70-200 f/2.8 A great Buy it Now price on eBay.
Pentax 150-450 This was from a sale on KEH and probably the one I should have let go since it duplicates/is a subset of the Bigma. But the Bigma's not WR is my rationalization for this one.
Tamron 28-300 that I got for a travel lens so I don't need to bring my whole kit with me.
Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 I got this before the 15-30 came up for auction. I'm considering selling it.
Pentax 28-105 I got with my K-1
Pentax FA-J 18-35
Pentax F 50mm f/1.7
Pentax FA 100-300
Pentax/Vivitar 100mm f/3.5 Macro
Phoenix (Cosina etc...) 100-400
Sigma 50mm /2.8 macro (MF) -- Forgot to add this initially.
Thingyfy variable aperture pinhole

I think that's it.At least all I can remember right now.

I've only been in Pentax land some August 2017 so I'm still starting out. I have 5-6 that I always use (including a 50-135 that I broke but recently bought a new one that won't be here for a while) and 2 that I don't use. 1 more that I don't like and need to sell.
1. smc Pentax DA 35mm f2.8 Limited
2. smc Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8 (soon)
3. smc Pentax DA* 16-50mm f2.8 (bought non-functional used, tried to get the AF going, failed, going to sell)
4. Sigma 50-500mm f4-6.3 EX
5. Sigma 10-20mm f3.5
6. Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX (I'm on the fence about this one. My copy isn't very sharp so I'm considering buying a DA* 55mm 1.4 and comparing them and keeping the better of the two.)
7. Sigma 28mm f1.8 ASP Macro
8. Sigma 18-250mm
9. Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro

Isn't this like asking how much a yacht costs? Instead of if you have to ask you can't afford it. If I can answer it's not enough.

to misquote an old commercial for a candy bar

- some times you feel like a [ prime ] some times you don't -

I have a prime number of primes now!
In fact 19 primes:
Tokina 17mm
DA Limited 21mm
M28mm
M40mm and smc DA 40mm
M 50mm 1.4 and 2
A50 1.7
Sigma 50 macro
FA50
K55
smc DA70mm
Tamron 52B 90mm
A100mm
Tamron AD2 135mm
M135mm
M200mm
Tamron ct300
Tamron SP 500mm mirror

Plus a number of zooms including Pentax, Tamron Adaptall2, Tokina, Sigma.

I made up a rather nice "saying" that I have probably heard previously and forgotten so I should not claim it -
Zooms for everything but primes for every thing.
I love the discipline of using the primes and stretching each to its limits and my limits as well. I have some long leave coming up and I plan to spend some time working with each lens

I can't believe I missed this thread......
Here goes, and I will probably miss a few:

17mm Takumar fisheye
17mm Tokina rectilinear
A20/2.8
A24/2.8
FA24/2.8
M28/2.8
A28/2.8
K30/2.8
FA31LTD
A35/2
FA35/2
M40/2.8
43mmLTD
K50/1.4 x3
M50/1.4
M50/4 Macro
A50/1.4
A50/1.2
D FA* 50/1.4
I'm pretty sure I have some other 50s as well
77mm LTD
M85/2
A*85/1.4
Takumar 100/4 Bellows
A100/2.8macro
FA 100/2.8 Macro (WR)
K105/2.8
A135/2.8
M150/3.5
M200/4
F*300/4.5
A400/5.6
500/8 Mirror Tamron
A*600/5.6
I also have a few zooms that don't get out much
I think I have a Tamron 24-70, an A35-70 and a Tokina 70-200/2.8

I still have a DA35/2.8 and 70/2.4 APS-C lenses, though I sold the 15, 21, 40, 55 and 60-250mm APS-C lenses after buying the K1.
No more 6x7 gear, I let it go a few years back, but at one time I had the 45,75, 90 Leaf, 105, 135, 165 Leaf, 200 and 300mm lenses.

I also have the Fuji 14/2.8, 23/1.4, 35/1.4, 56/1.2 and 60/2.4

Large format, I still have a couple of 4x5 cameras and 65mm, 90mm Schneiders and 150mm and 210mm Nikkors.

I forgot the Q lenses
For that camera I have the standard zoom, the standard lens and the fisheye.

I also forgot my Nikon equipment (yes, I have some Nikon stuff)
To go with my F2s, I have
35/35
50/1.4
85/2
105/2.4
These are all contemporaneous to the F2s, which was released in the early 1970s.

Fifteen full frame primes:
Samyang 12/2.8 Fisheye**
FA 20/2.8
FA* 24/2.0
F 28/2.8**
FA 31/1.8 Limited
Sigma 35/1.4 Art
FA 43/1.9 Limited
DFA* 50/1.4
Lomography 64/2.9 Daguerreotype
FA 77/1.8 Limited
FA* 85/1.4
DFA 100/2.8 Macro WR
K 135/2.5
FA 135/2.8
DA* 300/4.0

Six full frame zooms:
F 17-28/3.5-4.5 Fisheye**
DFA 15-30/2.8
DFA 24-70/2.8**
DFA 28-105/3.5-5.6
DFA* 70-200/2.8
DFA 150-450/4.5-5.6

Seven crop lenses:
DA 10-17/3.5-4.5
DA 15/4.0 Limited
DA 21/3.2 Limited
HD DA 35/2.8 Macro Limited
DA* 55/1.4
DA 70/2.4 Limited
HD DA 55-300/4.5-6.3 PLM

Seven 645 primes:
DFA 35/3.5
DFA 55/2.8
FA 75/2.8
A 120/4.0 Macro**
FA 120/4.0 Macro
Schneider-Kreuznach Clinelux Ultra 125/2.0
FA 150/2.8

Five Q mount lenses:
01, 03, 05, 07, 08

I can't see that collection changing much, but I've said that before

My wish list consists of two old lenses: the K 28/2.0 and FA* 200/4.0 Macro

I would probably replace the 35 Art and FA*85 with the new DFA* models if/when they materialise. A compact DFA* 70-200/4.0 would make me reconsider the f/2.8 behemoth.

The only ones I would currently consider selling are marked with **

This is like an AA meeting,.....

I have 32 total, 23 of them are FF compatible...and I swear I have no urge to buy any more until the next one that is.

How many lenses? Not too many, but always not enough.
I have gone through stages, selling some, keeping some, but overall, all have a purpose and are used at least once a year.
Going from APS-C to FF, I have sold a couple of them but passed on the K-5 onto the next generation so kept the lens range to the most practical for them.
I have only 7 go-to lenses on the FF, but there are probably an equal number for the APS-C system I have passed on...
