I think you guys are making fun of me! It is not how many lenses you have, but what you do with them! I just happen to have caught this LBA disease against which there appears to be no antidote, just a few anecdotes.

Philosophically, collecting anything can be made to look pretty dumb. It doesn't stop people from collecting whatever catches their imagination.
If collecting something makes one happy, then that is what matters, nothing else, and really, it doesn't matter what they are collecting as long as they aren't hurting others in the process.
We all have the right to happiness, and no one has the right to take that away from us. For me, the ultimate in evil people are the wet blankets that go out of their way to make other persons miserable.

LBS isn't so bad and it's fun. OCLBAD is bad, bad is even spelled out in the acronym. For those without coffee yet. OCD combined with LBA

Completing the FA Limited set should be the first priority. After that, go nuts

Today I've completed the FA Limited set whith a new SMC FA 43mm
(rigorously black!).

Now you need a complete set in Silver to complement the Black set.




And lower serial numbers.




And the colored leather bags. You keep them in the boxes with the papers on a special shelf.

Seems like any time I visit this thread the answer is "one more than last time I was here".

Currently waiting for a used FA 50/1.4, due to arrive any minute now. It's my third 50 after the DA/1.8 and the M/1.7. Do I have a problem? "Hi, my name is ehrwien and I've got LBA"

I've bought fa 43 because i needed a 50mm (I don't like the HD D FA*50/1.4 SDM AW despite your accurate article...and mainly for all the reviews on it), and i was in doubt between fa 43 ltd and FA 50mm f1.4 .
Not for feticism or LBA.

I've also sold all my C-Z lenses and after, and "obviously" (sic!),* I've discovered the Leitax chance...

(KX, MX,LX, marvellous design, very beatiful cameras... I'm dreaming a new little digital MX with a renewed Q2 core...)

My collection up to date ... not counting the Minolta MD mount lenses for which i have an adapter to PK mount.

I didn't that there was such an adapter. Does it need a lens for infinity focus or is it just a ring? I have a couple of MD lenses - a Minolta Rokkor 50mm f/1.4 and a Tamron 38-100mm zoom. They came with a Minolta camera at a rock bottom price and I could not say no. Time to shop for that adapter. I will be back later, hehehe.

I am using such an adapter: MD-PK. The adapter does have glass in it to allow it to focus to infinity. I am currently using it only on a Vivitar close focus lens--the SMS Vivitar MC 28mm F 2.8 close focus wide angle. Normally, I would avoid adapting lenses that require extra glass to reconcile incompatible registry distances, as between Pentax and Minolta, but the setup I am using seems to work acceptably.
