I have tried to read Lens ROMs using my K-3, but selecting "LENS ROM DAT CAMERA=>SD" and pressing the OK button does nothing, no matter which zoom lens I have attached.

OTOH, the same operation on my K-5 works, writing the LNS file.

Does anyone else see the same issue with the K-3? Is there some other setting one must enable first, perhaps?

Thanks for the link. I also found it when I went to your profile. Plus, it turns out that I have NOT turned off showing of signatures (I usually do, but perhaps this is not even possible in this forum) - but your signature does simply not appear under your top post, but only in further posts of yours. So, when I didn't see your sig in the top post, I assumed it was turned off altogether

Anyway - did someone see my post above about not being able to save the Lens ROM from a K-3? Any ideas?

so, first success by changing lensrom for me!

I bought a DA*50-135 with Pentax K10D body.
Lens worked good with K10D, but not with my K5...some backfocus.

In the database there are two other lensrom, which are NOT similar than the lensrom of my 50-135.
So i've tested tested these two lensrom. The first worse than the "original", but the second is fine.

No missfocus...now i've got a perfect working DA*50-135.

Regards,
Stefan

Same issue here-I own a K-S2 and have very missfocusing tamron 70-200(at 200mm around 6-8cm off target front focus, and only happens on 200mm, so with AF fine tune-i get all other messed up.). But I can't get this read/write eprom command to work. Most of it is also named diffrently in K-3 and K-s2 debugmode.
Below are files to enable K-S2 debug mode got them from fellow user wwortel, maybe it will help someone

I think it should be possible to do focus correction through the lensrom but does anybody know which data has to be modified?

Hello - yes, that's possible and I know what should be modified...I want to creat an excel file for that.
But I've got not much time right now because of exams.

Thanks for your reply. It gives me great hope I will wait patiently for your excel file.
Good luck with your exams. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to take them all soon
BTW: I tried to compare two different lensroms for the same lens but I see that most of the values are quite different. I was thinking of try-error sequences but I will rather wait.

you can try different lensroms with your lens and chose the best for your body - there will be no problem.
Just save your "original" lensrom if you want to go back.

Hello, how the exams are going?
I'll be glad if you can find some spare time to put some light on focus adjustment through the lensrom.

Greetings
