I've never used it, but I'd have to say the FA* 200mm f4 macro.

I would take a prime lens. With nothing to do but to shoot with the camers, I would have plenty of time to compose any picture thru the fixed focal lens. And once I am rescued, I would be able to share the nice pics with you guys

I'd have the professor build a coconut husk static electricity generator to recharge the batteries or I could hope for an LX to wash up in a FedEx box--LX works without batteries. Could use some of Ginger's make-up supplies to create developing liquids and the Howells have enough silver in their big chest to recreate some silver halide film...then I'd have Gilligan grind some tortoise shell thin enough to build whatever lenses I'd need.

Really, FA*80-200/2.8 would be the one lens (can I have a Cannon 500D close up lens to make the zoom into a true macro?).

This is been mentioned once or twice, but might as well hold everyone's feet to a fire. What is your "desert island" lens. In other words, if you could only have ONE lens to shoot with, what would it be?

My current choice: 35mm ltd macro.

think of this as an "anti-LBA" exercise
I think that my Cosina 28-70 F2.8 macro zoom would be the pick of the lenses that I have. My Nikkor 55mm micro would be a good choice also,if I went with a prime.
