DA* 200mm 2.8

Hey Gang! Just brought home my new DA* 200mm 2.8. Was just playing around in the back yard when I got home, but here are a few "sample" shots.

What's the deal with the quality? You can definitely say data loss in there.

my apologies... the top two were cropped a bit. I didnt realize I shouldnt have used them as examples until after I hit submit. My apoligies.

Hmm, it looks like you are at ISO 1600 or something.

looks like high compression or something like that. nevertheless, I love the picture of the bird with it's wings stretched out.

Yeah, after zooming in on it I can clearly see compression particles around the branch on the first picture. I get my 200mm tomorrow, I hope that is not what I have to look forward to.

I think you're seeing compression because they're so.... compressed. These are not flickr linked photos, or anything like that, they're uploaded to the attachment location on this forum, I think.

I have had this lens for quite some time now, but have not had much of a chance to use it yet. However, I have been quite impressed by its performance so far. I think you will be very satisfied with it.
