AF 1.7 Adapter on Samyang 85mm F1.4 Aspherical IF

Hi,
I am considering buying a Samyang 85mm F1.4 Aspherical IF to use with the Pentax AF 1.7 adapter, I use the adapter succesfully with a M 50mm 1.7 and with the DA 60-250, just curious if anyone here have experince combining it with third party lenses.

I have the vivitar version of the samyang. The adaptor works just fine

The adapter will technically work with any A or M style bayonet lens as long as it has a bare metal mount (and is fast enough to allow autofocus after losing a stop or so of light to the adapter) -- there are a few third-party lenses out there with non-conductive black paint mounts that don't work without scraping them off. The Samyang should work fine.

Works at f2.8 or smaller. At f1.4, there is too much abberation.

It works very well.
It is a very interesting combination actually, maybe just my copy. The images taken at 1.4 have very strong soft focus effect with them, and contrasty is low. Quite useful character really. Just one click to 1.8, the image gets much sharper and contrasty. I may post some sample photos if I can find time in this weekend.
