At any rate, I was ready to get me a DA* 300 the coming weekend. Much to my dismay, all Dutch dealers seem to have raised the price the past week, with the last two following suit today! Aargh. And it's no mild hike either... the thing was priced between €920 and €989 at the local authorised dealers, but as of today they all have it advertised for €1299 or higher, i.e. >25% more expensive. It is the only Pentax lens I've been eyeing up for a while, so I don't know if other models have been affected as well (i.e., I don't know what their going rate was before), but dang...
Has anyone else noticed this? These days the Dutch market is serviced by Ricoh-Pentax France, I believe.
Hmm, haven`t noticed this because I`m preoccupied with other thing than photography lately but a quick search does reveal that not only the 300mm but all DA*`s had a price increase. In fact, it looks like most of the high-end lenses had an increase, the 12-24 is now €999 and the HD DA35mm ltd goes for a staggering €729,-....(I got my old DA35ltd in 2012 for €419,-)
