Interesting observations John. I can't agree that all web sized images look sharp Falconeye, but I understand what you are saying. I can't see much point in cropping above though as they were hand held. I'll try to take some with a tripod soon, if someone else doesn't manage it sooner, and crop and post them.

Tripod mount isn't really the point. In low light etc., yes.

But with the Sunny 16 rule (1/200s at f/16 and ISO200) one gets 1/3200s at f/4 which really would be short enough (or 1/1600 at f/5.6). Motion blur is easily factored out as well because it usually is unidirectional.

Anyway, I didn't want to argue, really. Any hints of how this nice lens resolves will be appreciated.

BTW, I recently posted a handheld 100% crop of K20D + TC1.4x + DA*50-135 at 135, done at in-store light, appended below. You see slight motion-blur in horizontal direction but it is still sharp in the other one.

Now taken images at a range of different apertures with and without TCs, unfortunately all at ISO 800 (forgot to change the ISO setting). Please can you clarify what a 100% crop is. I'm not too literate when it comes to PP.

Thanks, Paul
