Does anyone have experience with Sigma 120 to 400 DG HSM zoom lens

Hello All

I am not quite ready to buy yet, but I am looking up the road to acquire a lens for bird photography. My DA* 200 mm is a great lens but sometimes it is just not long enough. One lens I have been considering is the Sigma 120 - 400 Dg HSM which seems like a reasonable compromise between doubling the focal length but keeping the size of the lens at a reasonable level. I have a definite preference for compact. Does anyone have this lens and how do they like it? it seems to be the only choice that fits what I am looking for. I want more than 300 mm but do not want the size and weight of something that zooms out to 500 mm. Any feedback appreciated
