I wouldn't read too much 'FF' indication from a 70-200mm f/2.8 release. It's quite simply a standard zoom range/aperture that most everyone except Pentax has, and in fact, Canon and Nikon offer two each.
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM $ 1,500
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II USM $ 2,500
Nikkor AF 80-200mm f/2.8 ED $ 1,000
Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II $ 2,400
Plus, both have an f/4.0 (constant) version for around $ 1,000-1,200.
Sigma and Tamron each have versions, $1,200 or so. The new Tamron apparently isn't offered in K-mount.
Like the T/C, it's been absent since the FA series and sorely missed by many.
So, while it might help a FF body release in terms of a more complete lens lineup, it likely will end up mounted to many APS-C bodies as well.

Wasn't the 60-250 priced close to $2000 in the early days of MAP, before falling to its current $1400? If it is 70-200/2.8 with all the bells and whistles, anything under $2000 would be a bonus, IMHO. But this isn't my kind of lens anyway, so what do I know.

If they want to be competative, $1500-$2000 will be a deal given Pentax lens does not have IS/VR otherwise how it compete with canon / Nikon? A high price only let more people transit to canikon. I do member the price spike two years ago made a lot of Pentax loyal fans scared away.

I'd like to see a 10-20ish limited WR zoom. I'm very happy with my 20-40 limited. It would fit nicely into "my" lens roadmap!

I really hope the DA wide zoom isn't just a HD coated 12-24mm. The 100-400mm tele zoom should be really interesting though

So yeah we have a 50-135 and 60-250, which are rough equivalents of 70-200 and 100-400 for full frame.
Could it be that the two long zooms indicate that full-frame equivalents and a full-frame pentax are coming?
