The lens road map is updated

Sorry, I did not found any news regarding the updated road map.
The new lens is announced in road map: something like 70-200 Star.

nice catch!

I wonder what kind of zoom that will be. they already have a 50-135mm F2.8 and 60-250mm F4 which fall into that range.

As in D-FA * (crosses fingers)

Actually, the 70-200 DFA would pair well with a 135-400 DA (200-600 eq). I'd be interested in both!

I already have a lens in that range and at what that aperture would likely be.

This had been noted on this forum back when it was updated at the beginning of the month. But so far when I've done a Google search I haven't come up with the original page on the Ricoh site - just smaller copies of the map. So thanks for the link!

Peter (Asahiflex) has an internesting thread running with all the archived roadmaps.

This *Telezoom did show up only this month from nowhere and colour coded the same as the DA* lenses.

The only other changes recently was the DA*17-80 ? got demoted to a DA and the new lenses get red coding for HD coatings.

I am mainly interested in the DA 12-28...anyone think this will be a better lens than the current DA 12-24?

I bet it will be just like Tokina 12-28. Apparently it is very well corrected. Should be a good architecture lens.

So does it make sense to buy the earlier DA 12-24 and not go for the upcoming 12-28?

I think it does make sense. The prices might drop down soon and it is an excellent lens that people enjoy thoroughly. I think 12-24 is well into the category where optical quality of glass won't limit you in any way.

I think that an new announced 70-200 lens is a direct sign of shortly forthcomming FF. It is not correct?
