Two FA 31mm Ltd's in Pentax Photo Gallery

I've got some photos of mine recently accepted into PPG. In the process I noticed that there are two different 31's listed there. One is described as FA 31mm F1.8 Limited and the other as FA 31mm F1.8 AL Limited. I was under the impression there was just one type of the 31mm, the only differentiator being the MIJ/AIV thing. The web store's official designation is without the AL as well. The AIV version still has the same optical design, right? Well, I asked PPG in an email but they didn't reply. Anybody knows what the logic might be behind this?

Probably just a web site error. There's only one version of the lens.

It's been like that since I started posting there about two months ago. I wonder why they won't merge the two galleries.

Before I gave up on the PPG, I noticed there was multiple DA 18-135's as well. Not sure if there still is as I have no use for that site and don't want to check.

I think they just don't care that much to change it. Person A and Person B don't talk, so nothing gets done properly.

Yep, I see two galleries for the 18-135. I don't know much about that lens, has it been through any upgrades since it was introduced?

They've had this problem with many lenses for years. My guess is someone who either submits a new set of photos or posts them doesn't recognize the lens already exists, and creates a new entry for it. It makes it hard to see all the photos from a given lens sometimes.

I don't think it's possible to create a new lens category on there. They let you choose from what they offer. At least that's been my experience.

Well no one seems to care to fix it.

Nope, no upgrades on that lens. Just the same old lens released 3-4 years ago.

Which makes me wonder how they really decide what shots get in.

I am sure it is random coin flipping on how a shot gets in.

Well, at least there is fellow photographer voting involved, question is how many people do actually vote.
