My Most Awesome Experience With The Greatest Lens Ever Made
Just judging from the posted images only and not doing the due diligence. It seems a bit of a star buy this lens, I can see me having to rethink my primes only policy.

Macro will be nice. Laser sliced retinas will resemble bacon. Only problem will be close focus at 1:1.

thank you for this great test and sample pictures. Too bad that Pentax purposely crippled this otherwise perfect lens by limiting its focal range. Obviously this lens should be able to go from 10-200. Could you please try to force the zoom ring at both ends , so the delimiting stops will break, and let us know the results?

They said this thread was dying. Such a sad end from such a fresh beginning.

Until everyone's eyes stop bleeding, there won't be much posting, I'm afraid.

I just reversed my Most Awesome Lens with a special K Mart adaptor from the Plumbing section of Housewares. Now the laser sliced retinas have ended and the micro focus is awesome for Mosquitos. They look like the creature from Alien. Cool.

I was one of the first to see those AWESOME pictures. I cauterized the cuts in my eyes eyeballing a weld. I feel like the Sahara is flowing in my eyes, it must mean it is healing faster!

Now show me those pipe-extended, K-marked, focus-scratched, hype-marketed marvels of pictures!

That's sad. A mere f/1.2 would be utterly disappointing for Pentax and non-Pentax fans.

Can't an F/0.95 be done? And while they're at it, Pentax should install a built-in wifi, GPS, and ND filter into that lens. A built-in cup/beer can holder will also be appreciated, something CaNikon has never thought of. I heard that beer goes well with bacon while one waits for a subject behind the bush.

That lens will usher Pentax into the pro-range for sure!

But only if it is painted white. White paint is important you know. It attracts the mosquitoes needed to make awesome ALIEN macro photos.

Yup, you're right! Pentax should listen to us.

I'm tired of being called cheap and amateur, when my friends see my gear. (One smart aleck even asked, if Ricoh is making the cameras, who's left attending the photocopiers? I told him, Pentax guys for sure. Pentax guys are making future generation of photocopiers WR!!!)

All of my friends, including myself, can't produce a good photograph to save our lives, but they have every right to be called professional because of those big white lens, which Pentax guys don't have.

If we spray paint our barrels white, can we be called professionals already?

Built in astro-tracking would be nice too.
