I would pick (if I still had a Pentax D-SLR):

Pentax DA 15mm f4 Limited
Sigma 24mm f2.8 Super Wide II Macro
Pentax FA 43mm f1.9 Limited

Sigma 30 1.4
Pentax FA 43
Pentax DFA 100
That's what I have and be happy with the setup.

Depends on the day.

I guess on any "normal" day if there is such a thing
DA15
FA31
DA70 (or FA77 if I had it)

Last Sunday I watched the 18 foot skiff racing out in Sydney Harbour so it was more like
DA15 - on land
FA135 - on water
DA*300 - on water

By the way, a camera store next to my office focused on (no pun intended) used equipment has those 2:
- DA 21mm 3.2 AL Limited
- FA 50mm 1.4

...both in mint condition, for a price of 378€ together.

I think on my way home I will have my own 2 lens set to start from
Wow, that's awesome. That's a great start to your 3-lens system. In fact, for a lot of situations, those 2 will be all you need.

Adding the 3rd one will be fun, but I think 135 is a great tele length on APS-C. It's the equivalent of 200mm on film, and 200mm was always very popular on film, and it's far apart enough from 50mm (70, 77 or 85 would be too close and redundant IMHO).

So far my happy little family welcomed them nicely:

A Happy Pentax Family on 500px

The "best thing" about it (besides the fact that I now have two very nice lenses for a good price) is that my M50 1.4 will from now on be GLUED to my K1000 ;-)
No more need to take it off.

For the rare occasions I need long focal lengths, the 55-300 is fine for now.
But well... LBA will get to me again, I know it.

For lightweight traveling:

DA 15/4, DA 35/2.8, DA 70/2.4.

When space and weight is less of an object:

ZK 25/2.8, ZK 50/2, ZK 85/1.4.

In other words, wide/mid/tele, with a macro option.

+1 on that selection. The 15, 35 Macro and 70 make a super light and compact kit. For travel, I also take my 18-135 WR for lousy weather.

21 f3.2, 40 XS, 70 f2.4

I have them, and I think the combo is unbeatable for price, weight, and image quality.

I want the 15, but can equal it with stitching. I'd like the 35 Ltd but the 40 is close enough. The 70 is so good that I can crop tighter.

I am just missing macro capability, and can't make up my mind - should I get 35, 50, or the 100WR?

It would depend on what macro subjects you want to shoot at 1:1.
If they will just lay there and let you get close, such as jewelry or other inanimate objects then the short focal lengths are fine.
If you want to shoot live critters that are either skittish or too dangerous to get your face up next to, then the 100 is recommended

For landscapes it would be:

DA 15
M 20/4
K 28/3.5

For critters and tele work:

K 50/1.2
DFA 100 Macro
DA* 300
