Who has the oldest lens?

Okay, so a thread on another forum got me curious. Theoretically, the Pentax K*D cameras can use lenses going back to the beginning of time via some adapter or another, but practically speaking, what's the actually oldest lens that anyone here has and uses on their digital SLR? (And, let's see some pictures from it!)

I believe of my lenses, I have 4 that are tied for the same age.

All SMC Pentax K mounts. This includes 50mm F1.4, 105mm F2.8, 135mm F2.5 and 300mm F4.

see the attached link for the 300 F4, it has been referenced by me many times on the forum

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/106132-post4.html

there have been ton's of posts by others for the 50mm and 135. Not sure anyone has posted anything yet with the 105mm F2.8. If not I will make this my project lens for the weekend

but note these are definitely not the oldest lenses out there.

Does my 1913 Rapid Rectilinear APO (All Plastic Outside) count? To my amazement it really is APS only, full frame my set up vignettes badly.

on the K100D:

And here's the lens:

Well, I can't compete with a 1913 lens! But I do have an early model 1 version Super Takumar 28mm f3.5 that would have been manufactured in 1962. Thats my oldest.

The lens.

Ok, and a few shots from it. And yes, I do use it. I just fired off a few shots with it this morning (not the ones shown).

Well I have a K 35 f/2 (now up on photographer's market) and a K 400 f/5,6 which would be both of around the same time: '75-'77 is what Bojidar's site state...

The K 400 is very sweet if a little troublesome to always cary around and I won't get rid of it anytime soon...

Fritz, that's one beautiful lens... and great photos too. Needless to say, I don't have one and I want one!

Thanks Nesster. I think I got lucky with this one on e-bay. I paid less then $30.00 for the lens, case, hood with case. All of which look like they had hardly been used. I almost feel guilty taking it out and using it. But using it for taking pictures is why I bought it!

Oldest Pentax lens I have is a 1968 50mm f2 Takumar. It came with my '68 Pentax S1a SLR.

Check out this site and see if you can reference any of the numbers or information on your lens. This should help you to identify about when it was made. For Takumars only of course.

Yashica Yashinon f=5.5cm 1:1.8

circa 1965.

Yashica glass is fairly well ignored in the U.S. Most search results about these old lenses will be from Japan. The factory that made this lens was already working with Zeiss and Contax when this lens was made. I'd venture to say it's the sharpest lens I own -- I plan to do a test compared to some other 50mm lenses I have. Ebay has many of these lenses for peanuts -- it was the kit lens with J-5 cameras. It's very well made.

I'm pretty sure this shot was wide open.
