What about Vivitar Series II lenses?

I found a Vivitar Series II 105mm/2.5 macro lens on Fleabay and I'm wondering if the Series II lenses are as good as the Series I lenses.

Here's the link to the Fleabay posting:
Pentax K mount Vivitar Series II MACRO 105mm f2.5 NORES - eBay (item 350045843975 end time Apr-20-08 17:30:00 PDT)

Thanks!
Heather

Hey! Don't be piggy! Isn't one enough? Since you love yours so much, don't you want to let someone else (like me) experience the joy of owning and using this lens, as well?

Of course if you buy it for me, that's another story.

Of course, you're right

I bid on it, but my max bid is only a 'steal' price - just in case. I'm sure it will go higher than what I bid.

Anyway, if the sea parts and I win, I'll PM you and you can have it for sale price plus shipping, I truly don't need three!

Okami,

After making the connection with your other posting lamenting your inability to get a hold of one of these gems (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/25296-every-no...art-break.html), I won't feel bad if you win this one.

Good luck!

I just got an incredible deal on a DFA100 on Fleabay, so Okami, if you really want the 105, then go for it!

I am genuinely feeling sorry for Okami, he's just snake bitten over that lens!

Last week, I was on my way somewhere, decided to stop home & run in to check if I had
an email from sprags regarding my 18-250 I was selling, and Ivoire had just posted his
Viv S1 105 macro 12 minutes before that - I bought it as fast as I could type a PM.
Okami was there like 15 minutes later, I think, and had just missed getting the love
of his life. I think he was a little mad at me, and I don't blame him completely,
but there's no quota on Viv Series 1's, especially at that price and in that shape (new).

My wife will be using it on her (my old) K100D, unless she decides she wants the
DA 35ltd macro, in which case I'll probably PM Okami (if he's still functional

Hang in there, Okami, wherever you are!!
