What is that?

Hello,

I have a lens on the marketplace right now with this issue on the front element. I used the term "blemish" in the description but maybe someone can give me more info. It's that ring (appears blue in this picture) around the edge of the glass.

Looks like separation to me, but it's a bit hard to judge.

I'd try to clean that off. I think it's unlikely to be separation because the rearmost element is not glued. It doesn't look like fungus, so that rules out the most likely things to get worse. I suppose those edges could be right in the extreme corner of a 35mm negative but probably not. I'd buy it.
