Sigma 600mm Mirror Lens

Just bought a Sigma 600 mm Mirror lens pristine like new on e-Bay...Can't wait. I now have two mirror lenses the Tamron 500mm newest version and the Sigma 600mm..

A Review I found.

Please Excuse Me While I Clean My Lens: Review: Sigma 600mm f/8 Reflex (Part 1 of 2)

Ben

What do you plan on doing with all this reach Ben? Got a hot tennant in the building down the street that leaves her bedroom window open all the time?

I'm surprised that you admitted buying a Sigma lens while being sponsored by Pentax Ben

However I can't say much

Please let us know how you really like it, and show us a couple of images from it after it arrives

Yah...You remember "Bertha"? She always forgets to close her curtains at night. I'm also going to use it for fashion. I'm too lazy to leave my apartment, so the Tamron & Sigma allow me to do the shoot while I'm having lunch. The assistant on his wakie talkie screams shoot and I just press the remote control after having to focus (sh-t that is work) and there you have it.

Ben, I think you have some serious Mirror LBA . I keep seeing post of you getting new mirror. For third party Mirror, you might want to check this one out (one of the best):

Ben,

If you'd like it I have a Phoenix 500mm f8 lens that I could loan you for a while

I've seen so many people laugh at them, however I've gotten several good pic's from it.

It's nice being able to get good photographs with a $100.00 New lens at times

edit, this is the one, with a Pentax t-mount

From what I've heard, the Rubinars are the better breed as far as "Russian Barrels" go.

Sadly, the Rubinars have SKYROCKETED in price over the past 1-2 years so they're a much riskier proposition now. There are basically none on the used market.

The Rubinars (and the Russian MTOs) are the only mirror lenses available as new on the market now other than the el cheapo Phoenix/Samyang ones, and the P/S ones have an awful rep.
