Pentax 70mm f2,4 or Sigma 50mm f1,4

I'm planning to buy a new lens, but I have not decided yet, which I want to buy.

I have seen at this two lenses, Pentax 70mm f2,4 and Sigma 50mm f1,4.

I wonder if someone have try both this lenses, and whick of them take the sharpest photos.
I will use the lens to take photos of my dogs for the most, but also a litle bit portrait photos.

70mm is a very sharp lens. I really like it. Even though, it is the rendering, not the sharpness that I love about this lens the most.
I don't have any experience with the Sigma, but I've read that it has really great center sharpness.

If I were you, for what you told, I would get the FA43

or the new Sigma 30mm. Much more versatile.
I don't know what kind of dog you have, but I've found that is really hard to fit my sister's hyperactive beagle in the frame with the 70mm

I think 35mm is a bit short to take pictures of my dogs when they are playing. Than I think I need at least 50mm, manby more. Have also see at the Tamron 90mm f2,8.

Someone as can recommend a realy sharp and good lens to take photos of dogs as moves and running?

To now I have use a old lens, 135mm f3,5 and Pentax 35-105mm f.3,5 with manual focus. I love this two lenses, but I will also have the opituniti to use automatic focus.

Tamron 90mm is a macro lens, it has a very slow focus. I really wouldn't recommend it for moving subjects.
