Anybody know this old Sigma 120-300?

I can't find any info for it anywhere. It's 120-300mm zoom with widest aperture at F8... Someone is selling it for $50

Oh, and it has markings down to 1:3 macro on it...

I'm pretty sure the aperture says 5.6, 6.3 or similar below the "8".

I don't know if I'd pay $50 for it, I have a Sears 60-300 f4-5.6 and like it, but I wouldn't spend $50 on it either.

I wouldn't expect great results, a lot of Sigma zooms from that time were below average. Would you be able to try it before buying?

Yeah I def wouldn't pay $50 for it just trying to decide if it's worth the drive to go and test it and haggle over it.. And oops you're right, it does open up to f5.6... I am going to pass.
